Directions

The church is located in Mettingham, a small village on the Norfolk/Suffolk border approximately 5 minutes drive from Beccles (to the East) and Bungay (to the West) along the B1062.

The church is easily and quickly accessed by car and there is ample parking at the church. If you do not have access to a car, below we have provided details of the nearest public transport links. Alternatively, if you are struggling to find a way of coming, please contact us as there are clergy and faithful who come regularly to the church from Beccles, Bungay, Diss and Ipswich who may be able to take you.

By Car

From Beccles

Follow signs for town centre until you see signs for Bungay. From the junction of St Mary’s Road and Ballygate besides St Benet’s Roman Catholic Church, take the Bungay Road (B1062). Stay on this road for approximately five minutes through the villages of Barsham and Shipmeadow.

When you see the road sign for Mettingham slow down and turn right into a road named Tallents Loke. Follow this road down to the bottom of the hill and turn left onto Low Road.

After passing one house on your left, turn left into the White House drive directly opposite a farm shed on your right. There is ample parking next to the house or beside the church at the rear of the property.

From Bungay

From Bungay town centre head towards Beccles Road and / or B1062.Then keep going up the hill. When you pass the Tally Ho slow down a little, you will pass a road on your left (Deer Row), keep going a bit furtherand take the left turn down Tallents Loke. Go down Tallents Loke to the bottom and turn left onto Low Road. You will see a large cattle shed on your right. Immediately opposite this you will see some gates with a sign to the College of Our Lady of Mettingham. You can then park your car. There is a large White House, and the church is behind the House.
